Leonardo da Vinci (1452–1519) is one of the most intriguing personalities in the history of Western art. Trained in Florence as a painter and sculptor in the workshop of Andrea sektion Verrocchio (1435–1488), Leonardo is also celebrated for his scientific contributions.
