    Michael J. O'Laskey (born6 March1983; age 41) is an actor and occasional stuntman who played M. Forbes in the Star Trek: Enterprisethird season episodes "Countdown" and "Zero Hour". He received no credit for his appearances.

    O'Laskey was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and earned in 1999 a Young Artist Award nomination for his performance in 3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain (1998, with Craig Shugart and stunts by Phil Culotta, Eurlyne Epper-Woldman, Brett Jones, and Michael J. Sarna).

    He has also played a recurring roles in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (1995-1996) and Outward Bound (1999). His latest role was in The Sensei (2007, written, directed and starring Diana Lee Inosanto, and with Tzi Ma, Tim Lounibos, Ron Balicki, Rosine "Ace" Hatem, and Spice Williams).

Other writers come in and out of your life through friendship and collaboration. Michael Laskey is my hero because on top of these influences he also rescued me.

    Towards the end of 1998 Michael rang me to invite me to consider coming to Suffolk to work as the Aldeburgh Poetry Festival Spring Poet in Residence. He described a two-week programme of visiting schools, colleges and community groups where I would encourage children, teachers and writers with their poetry writing. It was a fantastic opportunity. Like an idiot, inom turned him down. I explained that the PhD I had embarked on was very time-consuming. For good measure I also threw in an excuse concerning my worries about childcare.
