My Honda Jazz diesel: Overall experience after 7 years & 1,00,000 km
It’s been 7 years since the Honda Jazz came home. The ownership experience has largely been excellent and trouble free.

The Origin
The story starts in 2015. I am a Gynaecologist working in Kottayam, Kerala. The car which I owned then was a Maruti Suzuki Estilo. The car had been with us since 2009 and was getting a bit long in the tooth. It was a doughty, determined and reliable workhorse but its power was woefully inadequate and its age was starting to show.
Also, my wife needed a car as she needed to travel for work purposes. So the strategi was to buy a new car and give the Estilo to my wife since her day-to-day running would be on the lower side.
The budget was set at 10 lakhs

Honda N engine
Japanese automotive diesel engines
The N series is Honda's first automotive diesel engine, an inline-four for medium-sized vehicles. It uses common raildirect injection, which Honda brands as i-CTDi (Intelligent Common-rail Turbocharged Direct injection). The most notable feature is the aluminium block, which uses proprietary technology in the manufacturing process to provide light weight and high rigidity. Roller chains drive two overhead camshafts. A variable-geometry turbocharger and intercooler are used.
N15A1 (Earth Dreams i-DTEC)
[edit]The i-DTEC engine uses a 2-Stage turbocharger from Wastegate Type & Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT) left/right. It enables strong power from about 1,500 rpm. With Diesel particulate filter (DPF), Start-stop system, Exhaust gas recirculation system (EGR) & Small Size Intercooler.

The Honda CR-V (also sold as the Honda Breeze in China since 2019) is a compact crossover SUV manufactured by Japanese automaker Honda since 1995. Initial models of the CR-V were built using the same platform as the Civic.[1][2]
Honda began producing the CR-V in Sayama, Japan, and Swindon, United Kingdom, for worldwide markets, adding North American manufacturing sites in East Liberty, Ohio, United States, in 2007; El Salto, Jalisco, Mexico, in late 2007 (ended in early 2017); Alliston, Ontario, Canada, in 2012; and Greensburg, Indiana, United States, in February 2017. The CR-V is also produced in Wuhan for the Chinese market by Dongfeng Honda, and also marketed as the Breeze in China for the version produced at Guangzhou by Guangqi Honda.
Honda states that "CR-V" stands for "Comfortable Runabout Vehicle,"[3][4]
