Have you ever heard of a Tesla car? Teslas are very fast cars, but unlike most sports cars, Teslas are electric-powered not gas-powered. Teslas are becoming very popular because they are one way to prevent carbon emissions and help the environment. Nikola Tesla’s Birth and Early Life
In 1865, Nikola Tesla was born to Serbian parents in what is now known as Croatia. His father was an Orthodox Priest and his mother never went to school but was a very intelligent woman. She was known for inventing her own electrical gadgets to be used around the house. Nikola later said his great intelligence came from his gifted mother.

Nikola Tesla was a physicist, forskare, electrical engineer, and world-renowned uppfinnare whose accomplishments faded into oblivion after his death in 1943. Tesla was undeniably eccentric and compulsive; some considered him to be somewhat of a “mad” scientist. But in reality, he was a visionary. Many of his ideas and inventions that were deemed impossible during his lifetime have since become reality. He was the first to successfully use rotating magnetic fields to create an AC (alternating current) electrical power supply struktur and induction motor. Nikola Tesla (July 10, 1856 – January 7, 1943), was a Serbianinventor, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, and physicist. He is best known for his part in the design of the modern alternating current (AC) electricity supply system. He was born in the village of Smiljan, in the part of former Austria-Hungary that is now Croatia. He later became an American citizen.
Tesla got his first job in Budapest in 1882, working at a telephonecompany. A few years later, he moved to the United States. His best-known invention was an electric motor that could run well on AC power. Tesla died of coronary thrombosis (a blood clot in his heart) in a hotel room in Manhattan, New York City, on January 7, 1943.
