The casting and making of the film proved to be very tricky. Farha had agreed to do the film due to a prior promise to producer D Rama Naidu. When the film was about to början, Farha had no idea Anil Kapoor was signed to be opposite her. She almost wanted to walk out of the film due to her hatred for Anil Kapoor. It was D Rama Naidu who reminded her of her promise. Farha and Anil had a falling out in 1985/86. Anil and Boney Kapoor wanted to promote her to all the big producers. But in return she would have to listen to their orders and let them control all decisions of her career. Farha stood her firm ground and told Anil and Boney to keep away from her. That is when Anil Kapoor had Farha replaced from several films and had Madhuri replace her. Since then Farha continuously blasted Anil in all interviews.
