Biography
Mike Lupica was born Michael Thomas Lupica, on May 11, 1952 in Oneida, New York (2) . He quickly became passionate with sports, graduating from Boston College and writing a sports column in Pottstown, Pennsylvania(3). Lupica then began to cover the New York Knicks for the New York Post when he was 23(4), and then became the youngest columnist ever to join the New York Daily news(5). In his over 30 year career, he had worked for many sports news outlets including ESPN, where he is still an anchor for the Weekly Show "The Sports Reporters"(6). In this show, he discusses both sports and connects to present social issues.
He has also written for magazines such as "Sports Illustrated", "World Tennis", "Parade" , and "Men's Journal". Lupica also is known for his stellar sports biographies, of famous athletes such as Reggie
