  • Tom, Charles and William Heath Robinson were all prodigiously talented and acclaimed illustrators. This exhibition shows 60 of the brothers’ original book and magazine illustrations, many seen in public for the first time.

This illustration exhibition brings together the work of Tom, Charles and William Heath Robinson. It not only reveals the sheer quality and imaginative range of each of brother’s work, but considers how family, brotherhood and collaboration played a crucial part in their artistic development.

While each artist would follow his own particular direction, often their work was to share common themes, such as fantasyland, children and the ‘far away’.

Curator and Robinson family descendant Dr Peter Higginson says: “Tom, Charles and Will were like a family dynamo of creativity, who were fortunate to be present at one of the most exciting moments in the history of illustration.”
