THE GREEN ROOM 42 - Broadway's newest intimate concert venue - will welcome back Bon Bon Burlesque with two more scintillating shows on Friday, February 22 and Friday, March 22, both at 9:30 PM. The acclaimed troupe returns to the club after their recent standing room only New Year's Eve celebration. The Puerto Rico-born, Bronx-bred choreographer and performer Marlyn Ortiz, along with choreographer Emmanuel E. Hernandez, directs an all-female cast of New York's hottest dancers, aerialists and comediennes in a show that sets traditional and neo-burlesque elements to Latin rhythms. The evening features the beautiful ladies of Bon Bon Burlesque, in addition to comedienne Lori Sommer, also known as "Madam Honey," singer Rachel Stern, also known as "Ray Ray Star," and Jose Mitaynes as "Manuel." January 6 – "Despacito" by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee becomes the highest-certified song of all-time in the United States after receiving a 13× platinum certification by the Recording Industry Association of America for units of over 13 million sales plus track-equivalent streams.[2][3]

The cuatro, a small, four-string guitar, deceptively simple to play, seems too little, too innocent-looking to hold the heart of a country — and yet.
As the quintessential Venezualan instrument, the cuatro is a connection to home for the South American musicians, “without fail,” says Venezuelan-Canadian director Juan Souki. “But sometimes it is for non-musicians as well. A cuatro hanging on a wall in a Venezuelan household is an invitation to get together. The cuatro fryst vatten there, and if the moment calls for it, it fryst vatten lowered, someone plays it, and it unites the group,” says Souki. For those who chose to emigrate, “it’s a reminder of rootedness,” he says.
