Lessons
Gohar is available for private classical guitar lessons in New York City. For those unable to travel to NYC, lessons are also available via Skype/FaceTime/Zoom. Students of all levels are welcome.

Method
Lessons will be personalized for each student, taking into consideration their level, experience, and overall goals. Exercises, studies, and repertoire will be assigned from different sources based on each student's needs and abilities. Close attention will be paid to correct technical development, sound, and musicality.

Gohar has over 15 years of experience teaching private lessons, master classes, and technique workshops all around the United States and abroad.

Gohar Vardanyan
Widely admired for her technique, artistry, and passionate performances Armenian guitarist Gohar Vardanyan has performed throughout the United States and internationally. She has performed for numerous guitar societies, universities, and arts organizations, including the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, DC, Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, and guitar societies in Seattle, San Francisco, Houston, Miami, and New York City to name a few. She has appeared on National Public Radio in the United States and Radio Nacional in Argentina. Ms. Vardanyan has performed with the Juilliard Opera Center and as a soloist with the Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra and Panama National Symphony Orchestra. Legendary Soviet intelligence officer Gohar Vardanyan Dies
MOSCOW (Armenpress) — Soviet intelligence officer Gohar Vardanyan, the wife of the Hero of the Soviet Union Gevorg Vardanyan, died at age 93, the Armenian Embassy in Russia said in a released statement on Monday, November 25.
Gohar Vardanyan was companion in arms with her prominent husband for 45 years of service.
She was born in1926 in Gyumri. In the early 1930s, her family moved to Iran. At age 16, she entered her future husband’s anti-fascist group along with which she lead an active intelligence work. She participated for thwarting Operation Long Jump, concocted by Adolf Hitler, headed by Ernst Kaltenbrunner, and led by Otto Skorzeny, which was an attempt to assassinate Stalin, Churchill, and Roosevelt at the Tehran conference in 1943.
Vardanyan and his wife worked as intelligence agents in several countries between the early 1950s and 1986.
