Myers was born in Gillett Grove, Iowa, to Roy and Olivia Myers on March 6, &#; He received his early education and graduated from Gillett Grove Hill Toppers.&#; At graduation, Bill was offered several full ride basketball scholarships but he chose to stay home and help on the family farm.
&#;&#;&#;&#; On August 24, , Bill was united in marriage to Karen Eldridge and they purchased the current family farm in &#; They farmed there together until Karen&#;s passing in &#; Bill continued to farm until his passing on March 23, &#; Bill was a hardworking farmer, he loved his farm and loved his family.
&#;&#;&#;&#; Bill made great friends in his community, church, and his work on the board of the Ayrshire Telephone Company of which he was president.&#; Bill enjoyed serving his church in the choir, and as a lector and serving communion.&#; Bill was ganska the dancer.&#; He rarely missed an opportunity to go dancing and spend time with his friends.&#

Marilyn Jean (Myers) Hoffmann, 82, formerly of Bellevue, most recently of Lexington, SC, passed away on Monday, June 3,
Funeral Mass will be a.m. Saturday, June 22, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bellevue. Visitation will be - p.m. Friday, June 21, and – a.m. Saturday at Hachmann-Mier Funeral Home in Bellevue. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery in Bellevue with repast to follow. Her family encourages attendees to wear apparel with the bright colors, flowers, and birds that Marilyn loved.
Marilyn was born August 15, in Waucoma, IA, the daughter of William F. and Bertha M. (Drilling) Myers. She graduated from Waucoma High School in , then worked at Mercy Hospital in Dubuque.
